The new XA70 offers high-quality 4K recording with newly added features such as UVC (USB Video Class), 1.0”-type CMOS sensor, optical 15x zoom lens, improved LCD, EVF and USB power supply(PD-E1).

The XA70 features DIGIC DV 6 high-performance video processing platform that enables 4K 25p 4:2:0 8bit shooting and output. It also supports Over Sampling HD Processing for premium quality Full HD utilising the 4K sensor.

MXF-based XF-AVC  & MP4 Formats

Supports broadcast standard compliant MXF-based XF-AVC and versatile MP4 formats that supports 4K UHD 25.00p 4:2:0 8bit recording.

Note: Object tracking with direct touch is available when AF range is set to “auto”. Auto focus will be Contrast AF for “conversion lens settings other than OFF,” “infrared shooting,” and “digital zoom area

Slow and Fast (S&F) Motion Recording

Creative possibilities are further enhanced with slow & fast motion recording. Durations for shooting and playback at specific set numerical values displayed on the screen, letting users verify the effects at a glance.

USB Video Class (UVC)

The XA70 supports UVC for better computer compatibility. Simply connect the camera with a USB cable, and the computer can recognise it as a webcam for online conferences, classes, and more without special software.

OSD Recording

With the new function of on-screen display (OSD) recording, it allows the XA70 to be used as a surveilance camera, enhancing its value as it can be used for verification. Information such as date, time, time code and other text on the screen can be recorded. Users can select the items to be displayed and its recording position.

600x Digital Zoom

The ability to zoom up to 600x digitally allows user to enlarge in to check on details for monitoring, security and other purposes. 

High definition LCD

The 2.76 million dots, 3.5-inch LCD can deliver crisp high definition image quality details. The LCD has four backlight brightness levels (about twice as bright as previous models). 

This improves on the visibility during news coverage and other outdoor shoots.

Tiltable EVF with High Dot Count

The 0.36-inch eletronic viewfinder (EVF) features a high pixel count of approx. 1.77 million dots, letting users check the on-screen picture with even fine details displayed crisply and clearly. The tiltable, user-friendly viewfinder aids shooting by providing easy visibility even under bright outdoor conditions.
